God's Plan for Your Life!

After the Resurrection

Tuesday, April 22, 2014

As we move through Spring, after having celebrated the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, how can we just continue to do business as usual.  Our hearts have been tuned-up and our minds have a readjusted focus.  Christ is Risen.  He is risen INDEED.  So, we should no longer live in doubt or fear. But, with full confidence and anticipation we are to press forward.

Paul said it best in Philippians 3:12-14, " I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it,d but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us."

But, you may ask yourselves, "how can I even focus, when I have trouble with:

  1. a relationship
  2. finances
  3. employment
  4. my children
  5. transportation
  6. education
  7. etc...
Our God is a Great Big God.  He is not weak or powerless or absent.  He tells us very clearly in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land."

So, Brothers and Sisters, before the aroma of Jesus wears off and the stench of the world takes hold of you, know that God is for US.  Who, then can be against us?
