Our hearts have been tuned-up and our minds have a readjusted focus. Christ is Risen. He is risen INDEED. So, we should no longer live in doubt or fear. But, with full confidence and anticipation we are to press forward.

Paul said it best in Philippians 3:12-14, " I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it,d but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us."

But, you may ask yourselves, "how can I even focus, when I have trouble with:

a relationship

finances

employment

my children

transportation

education

etc...

Our God is a Great Big God. He is not weak or powerless or absent. He tells us very clearly in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land."

So, Brothers and Sisters, before the aroma of Jesus wears off and the stench of the world takes hold of you, know that God is for US. Who, then can be against us?Vivian On Lifehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03858082690095611942noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9115914259636193899.post-45866004151779250592012-01-21T07:00:00.000-06:002012-01-21T07:00:06.019-06:00Mom Recorded Herself Getting High On Meth Before Killing Her Kids<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml>

It’s all about the Son.Merry Christmas. It’s all about the Son.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” ~Isaiah 9:6

God cares about you—PERSONALLY!

And whether or not I know you personally, God is using me to speak into your life.

The birth of Jesus is only the beginning of the story. Jesus grew up and lived among us and showed us how to live a peaceful [characterized by lack of violence, disorder, strife or agitation] life.

Have you been living in an argumentative, quarrelsome, or hostile environment?

Peace on Earth and goodwill toward men is not just something we say at Christmas time. It is a reminder and commemoration of how we are to live our lives everyday: Peacefully with our spouses, at peace with our children, peaceably with our friends, developing goodwill with our relatives, and maintaining goodwill with our co-workers.

If you have never accepted Jesus as your personal Savior or you feel you need to recommit yourself, please ask for forgiveness, turn from your sin, and ask Jesus to become Lord of your life and save you.

If you have already accepted Jesus as your Savior, are you living in peace with everyone?

Allow Jesus to HEAL* you - TODAY

[1. to make healthy, whole, or sound; restore to health; free from ailment.
2. to bring to an end or conclusion, settle; reconcile to conflicts between people
3. to free from evil; cleanse; purify]

The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace. ~Psalm 29:11

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. ~Proverbs 3:1,2

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. ~Psalm 4:8

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. ~Psalm 34:14

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. ~Psalm 23:1-3

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. ~Romans 8:6

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” ~John 3:16

Let this Christmas be your best Christmas ever and begin your New Year with peace!

Peace and blessings,Vivian On Lifehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03858082690095611942noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9115914259636193899.post-78352668050491783542011-02-18T07:16:00.002-06:002011-02-18T07:50:27.189-06:00Do not quench the SpiritDo not quench the Spirit; do not despise prophetic utterances. But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil. ~I Thessalonians 5:19-22

God is always working. We, as Believers, are to expect something to happen that will work out for the good of those who love God and are the called to His purpose; which is us. Sometimes people will come up to you and say, "The Lord told me to give you a word." For many people, this would be a sign that a "kook" in in their midst. But, the Bible says that there are "prophetic utterances."

Therefore, when people bring news to you, test it and ask yourself if it lines up with the Word of God. If it does, then hold fast to it. Expect it to happen. Prepare yourself to receive it. Pray and ask God to help you receive it with thanksgiving. If it is not from God and therefore not good; reject it. We hold fast to those things that are from God and abstain from wickedness.
Let God penetrate your heart and mind and begin to do a work in you, like He did Esther.Vivian On Lifehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03858082690095611942noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9115914259636193899.post-64807990044077438212010-01-23T01:28:00.000-06:002010-01-23T01:28:56.992-06:00Born or Born AgainChristianity is a way of life. It displays the depth of your relationship with Jesus Christ. Many people claim to be Christians without a real relationship with Christ. Christianity is not like Judiasm. We are not "born" Christians. We are "born-again" Christians.

In John 3:3-5, Jesus is speaking to Nicodemus (a very religious Jewish man), "Jesus answered and said to unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. Nicodemus said unto Him, how can a man be born again when he is old? can he enter a a second time into his mother's womb and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of Spirit, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."

Trying to be a Christian without the presence of Jesus Christ inside, is like trying to be a doctor without no interest in medicine. You won't be credible. You will make a ton of mistakes. You will lead people astray. Just as a doctor must study, learn, and develop his or her practice, a Christian must do the same thing. It is said with clarity in 2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God," This is very different than what most Christians think they must do.

Often people think that water baptism, church membership, giving money to good causes, serving the church, trying to do better, making resolutions to quit bad habits are the activities they must participate in in order to be called a Christian. Not so. Loving Jesus is the key. Jesus died on the cross for your salvation. Out of love and gratitude for his suffering, we want to give, we want to serve, we want to be baptized.

But more than wanting to help we all need to know what it means to be a Christian. Who is this Jesus. How can we emulate His life? How does he want to be represented? What is His relation ship with God? Who is the Holy Spirit? Diligently searching the Holy Bible and seeking the face of God through prayer will reveal these things.Vivian On Lifehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03858082690095611942noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9115914259636193899.post-67839407338060195662009-12-09T11:50:00.000-06:002009-12-09T11:50:35.411-06:00"The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness
"The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them." ~Romans 1:18-19
But, as a more mature Woman of God, I realize that 2 Timothy 3:16, ("All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:") does not mean that God sanctions every behavior done by men in the Bible, but that he has told us about such things in order to teach us what is pleasing and what is "not" pleasing to Him. He gives us many types of examples of things that happen in life that we should avoid.
Does your Bible have a concordance or index? A concordance or index in the back of your Bible will help you to find out what God says about a particular subject. If your Bible has only a few entries in the index or concordance, you might want to get a Strong's Concordance. Of course, most prayers are much longer than that. But, if you are just learning to pray without reading a prayer, it is a good starting place. When you say, "Your will be done," you are taking the focus off of yourself and letting God reign in your situation. Then, you are free to pray for others. <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0446531960?ie=UTF8&tag=addonincome-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=0446531960" target="blank"">The Power of Simple Prayer: How to Talk with God about Everything is a resource written by Joyce Meyer. Joyce, an inspirational lecturer and evangelist, has more than 70 books in print. She uncovers the mystery of prayer and breaks it down into easy to understand principles.

With the help of Joyce, along with many other ministers, I now have a greater appreciation for the Lord's Prayer. I have a much stronger prayer life. Also, my faith has been built up, by reading the Bible. Now when I read, I don't just go from one word to another. I use study tools, books, and guides to help me get to the root of the meaning. When I meditate on the scriptures, they penetrate and take up residence in my heart. And now when I pray, I rarely pray amiss. Frequently, I see phenomenal results of my prayers. -- Be Blessed and Prosperous!
The wrong motives are selfish motives. James 4:3 says, "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." No wonder my life was so stagnant. In all of those 40 years, I never remember one time that I believed God answered my prayers. I used to add a couple of special requests at the end, just to see if they would be more effective. But, I never saw a sign or a wonder. Do I believe God hated me? "No." I just felt like I was a Christian and that God would give me whatever He thought was best, and that should be "good enough" for me. After all, I wasn't anybody special. I wasn't anointed. I wasn't a preacher or an evangelist. I was not really one of the chosen or called ones.
I actually didn't mind hearing it. It was a positive message. I began to listen more and more often. All I heard were encouraging messages that told me to pay attention to what I was doing. Pay attention to what I was saying. Pay attention to what I allowed into my life. Duh! You would think that after 32 years of being a Christian, I would already know that. I learned that 85% of everything that comes into your brain comes from sight. The other 15% comes from your other senses. I found out that one of the big differences between us average folks and those who seem to hear from God is that they pay attention to and limit everything that goes into their eye and ear gates. Total Life Prosperity 14 Practical Steps To Receiving God's Full Blessing is a book that explains this whole concept. Though not convinced that this prayer had a basis in my reality, I prayed it because it was the only one I knew except for the dying one. For many, many years, I prayed that prayer; never even thinking about what it meant or whether it was relevant. When I would be in a group and someone would ask, "who would like to pray?" I would never say, "me," because I know the Lord's Prayer is not what they expected.
I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake. I pray the Lord my soul to take." I remember, at one point, after having said it for years, I began to reflect on the words: "if I should die." Die? I didn't want to die. Am I praying to die? I don't want to pray to die. My solution was, I would just not say "that part" of the prayer when I prayed. My not saying that part of the prayer did not help. I began to have nightmares about dying in my sleep.
